Introducing our forest school in Ilfracombe offering termly toddler groups and sessions for home-educated children.

Play, explore, discover and learn outdoors in beautiful woodland
A brand new site for the Outdoors Group, Ilfracombe Forest School is situated a couple of miles from Combe Martin Bay on the beautiful North Devon Coast, and a short distance from Barnstaple.
When our team went to visit this site early 2021, it was decided there and then that we had to take it on. As a site that has been enjoyed by the community for several years under its former title ‘Quarry Fields Forest School’ we wanted to do all we could to ensure the site continued to offer the learning opportunities we believe in. A relatively young Woodland site that lends itself perfectly to Forest School, our new Ilfracombe site consists of Willow, Birch and Hazel encompassed by surrounding Oaks, and has a coastal vibe that our other sites lack. Running through the woodland is a little gem of a natural-spring that pools to create a perfectly relaxing little spot for water play and exploration. Another fantastic feature this site offers is a meadow area….waiting to facilitate learning through planting and growing which will change and develop as seasons shift.
Forest School is all about learning through exploring and discovering new interests with peers in the natural environment. Our Toddler Clubs, Home Education sessions, Holiday Clubs and Birthday Parties at Ilfracombe Forest School are the perfect way to get children outdoors in all weathers, harnessing their imagination and curiosity to Play, Explore, Discover and Learn.
