Transition weeks

Designed to fill the gap between Year 11 study leave and the start of the holidays, our transition weeks encourage students to develop new skills in communication, independent living and teamwork, making their next step after school less challenging.

Our transition weeks include a mix of outdoor-based learning and student-led projects, which help leavers transition away from school and into a college or apprenticeship environment.

The programme gives students the chance to gain valuable skills and meaningful experiences during the long nine week gap between school and college.

Our experienced staff have a wide knowledge of school and further education environments, making them perfectly placed to pass on valuable tips for moving between the two. They are fully qualified in outdoor learning and forest school, which enables them to make the programme an exciting and interesting mix of core skills and fun.
