Spoon Carving Workshop

The greenwood culture has been on the rise in recent years, as people seek mindful respite from the pace of modern life. If you are looking for a new hobby or to get some tips on how to start your spooning journey, we have created this one day introduction to spoon carving just for you. The workshop will cover aspects of spoon carving such as sourcing materials, tools, knife grips and how to carve a basic spoon. You will have plenty of time throughout the day to create your own spoon under the guidance of our Trainers, Neil and Ali, who have both been carving and creating with greenwood for a number of years in their roles as Forest School Leaders. Come and join us for this relaxed introduction to greenwood working and chat around the campfire while you learn the skills to create your own handcrafted spoons.

Please note this workshop is for over 18s only and participants must be fit and able to to wield an axe, it can be hard work.

All tools and materials will be provided, including hot drinks, biscuits and a hot-dog (or veggie sausage) lunch cooked over the campfire.
