ITC Level 3 Learning Beyond The Classroom is a fantastic qualification is intended to provide the learner with an understanding of the benefits of learning beyond the classroom, how to manage groups and facilitate their learning and to practically deliver activity beyond the classroom environment. The course will support and empower those working in Education to take their lessons outside the classroom. It will provide practical guidance for risk assessing activities and how to approach Outdoor Learning in order to benefit pupils in their learning and engagement.
Developed with input from the Council for Learning Outside the Classroom (CLOtC) and Institute for Outdoor Learning (IOL) and support from influential leaders within education, it aims to break down boundaries, empower educators and allow educators to give themselves and their employer permission to take a step outside of their normal classroom environment.
The course runs over 2 days. Each day runs from 9am – 3pm

Completion of the practical course and required coursework gives you a ITC Level 3 Learning Beyond the Classroom Qualification. The level 3 is equivalent to an A* – C grade at A Level. This qualification is primarily designed for those employed, volunteering or otherwise involved in Primary and Secondary schools to take their learners outside as part of their curriculum. However, the topics covered can also easily be applied to a wider range of educational settings.
Trainees needs to have a DBS check, have some experience working with children and young people. A valid paediatric first aid certificate is also desirable.
