Transitional Learning Programme – Area Manager

Job Purpose: 

To oversee and manage the outdoor-based alternative provision on up to four sites in a specific area. You will manage a team of up to twelve 1:1 Key Workers. We support learners who may struggle in mainstream school settings by providing bespoke daily sessions. These sessions operate on a 1:1 or small group basis.

Main Duties:

• Oversee the delivery of 1:1 provision across up to three sites daily.
• Support, supervise and provide formal and informal feedback to 1:1 Key Workers and Site Leads.
• Maintain contact with Site Leads on a daily basis to ensure staffing and resources are adequate.
• Provide feedback and complete the necessary paperwork for meeting with both internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Support the Head of TLP when engaging with external agencies where applicable.
• Effectively manage a team of up to twelve staff members.
• Raise any concerns, using the appropriate format to the TLP Provision Manager.
• Coordinate drop offs and pickups of learners and communicate relevant information with Key Workers.
• Act as the link between external agencies and the company to ensure learners are accessing the right provision and, where necessary offer provision.
• Conduct site visits on behalf of outside agencies.
