“My daughter had the best time. It was the perfect antidote to lockdown, spending time feeling free in the woods and surrounded by children to play with. The organisation around COVID was the best I’ve experience anywhere to date. It was warm & welcoming but in a very structured, well managed way. The care from the forest leaders was second to none, my daughter went off happily every morning and didn’t want to leave in the afternoons!”
Childcare Vouchers and Tax-free Childcare
In order to use childcare vouchers to make payment please select which childcare provider you wish to use when booking. You will then need to select deferred payment at the checkout. On receipt of your registration we will send you an invoice for the amount due which will include our ‘provider code’ for you to make payment.
Please note that we accept payment from the following childcare voucher schemes: EDENRED, KIDDIVOUCHERS, CARE-4, SODEXO, COMPUTERSHARE, BUSYBEES, MYBENEFITSBUNDLE, APPLECHILDCARE, REWARD GATEWAY and ENJOYBENEFITS.
If you use a different scheme do please get in touch so we can look at registering with them.
HMRC are now offering tax-free childcare to parents to help out with childcare costs over the summer holidays and we are happy to be able to accept payment this way as well! You can find out more about it here: https://www.gov.uk/government/news/reduce-school-holidays-stress-with-help-for-childcare-costs
Please select TAX-FREECHILDCARE as the provider when booking.
Your child will need to bring a packed lunch, plenty of water, their own cup for hot chocolate (not breakable, i.e. plastic or metal) and have suitable clothing on – wellies and waterproofs when wet, long trousers and sturdy shoes when dry.
Sadly we are unable to offer discounts for Day Camps.
Our holiday clubs aim to provide children with an environment in which they are free to be themselves, meet new friends and socialise whilst engaging in fun forest school activities. We aim to be as inclusive as possible, and strive to provide all children with the right to engage in a session that promotes success and happiness through exploration and play. It is however separate provision from our term time activities, including the 1:1 programmes and The Outdoors School and therefore requires that children are able to attend without their parent/guardian and have a level of independence that does not require close supervision or assistance outside of what we would typically expect. If your child is registered with us on a 1:1 programme, please contact us prior to booking to discuss the suitability of these groups. In some cases where qualified staff are available, we may be able to provide 1:1 support during holiday clubs. If you think this is a likely requirement you will need to email firstname.lastname@example.org with your enquiry.
The summer holidays are here and like many parents, although I’m looking forward to camping trips, duvet days and beach time with the kids, there is also a certain part of me wondering exactly how to fill the six long empty weeks looming ahead of us….
I have run and managed Exmouth Forest School since it opened in 2014 and have honestly loved the last three years. The anticipation of its first run of Holiday Clubs, is something I remember clearly. The night before the first session I opened my email to retrieve the booking form, to find that two kids were booked in, and they were brothers. This equates to one booking. ‘Not great,’ was my thought….
This year, due to COVID-19, we changed up the holiday club schedule, so that the children participated over four consecutive days. By having the same children and the same staff together over four days gave us more freedom to take on bigger projects and build stronger friendships. By the end of the week play dates had been arranged and penpals set up.
