Exeter Forest School is situated within a beautiful woodland in Shillingford St George, just three miles from Exeter City Centre. This is where The Outdoors Group (then Exeter Outdoors) began its adventures in 2009. It’s also home to Exeter Kindergarten, our outdoor pre-school.
We opened Okehampton’s first Forest School in 2017. It’s set in beautiful semi-ancient woodland, just a short walk from town. Local mum Debbie Miller, who has worked with children in the area for nearly two decades, runs our Toddler Clubs and Home Education Groups.
Opened in July 2014, Exmouth Forest School offers a wide range of exciting outdoor activities for all ages and can be found just a few miles from the town centre in beautiful spruce woodland. It is our main base for our Forest School Training courses.
At the beginning of 2018 we were welcomed on to this site in Cowley Moor by The Adventure Playground charity, which has been providing recreational activities for local children during the school holidays. We’ll be running our Forest School groups in term-time only.
Opened in Autumn 2015, our Forest School Kindergarten has become one of Exeter’s most popular pre-schools. Set within beautiful woodlands, with access to a neighbouring stream and field, children are encouraged to be outdoors as much as possible. For days when the weather stops play, there’s a cosy log cabin with a wood burning stove to shelter in.
The Kindergarten is Ofsted registered and you can use your 15 Early Years Entitlement Funding, or your 30 free childcare hours.
